Our center is thrilled to invite AP Government and AP US History teachers to a showcase of what CAPE and UC Merced has to offer their students!

What will we do?
- Tour the UC Merced Campus
- Meet with faculty and current students
- Program demonstrations
- Lunch with CAPE affiliates
Is there a fee to attend?
No! There is no registration fee.
Is lunch included?
Yes! CAPE will provide lunch, plus morning and afternoon refreshments. We also will send you away with some swag!
Do I need to pay for parking?
No! CAPE will reserve a set of designated parking spaces for this event, so you do not need to purchase a parking pass.
What is the purpose of this event?
You work with the San Joaquin Valley's brightest civic-minded students. Our goal, with your support, is to recruit those future leaders to UC Merced and help them impact and advocate for their local communities throughout their careers. We hope this event can serve as an opportunity to formalize a partnership with you as an affiliate of the CAPE recruiting network.
Will my substitute be covered?
As far as we are aware, all of the teachers that have RSVP'd so far have been able to secure substitutes from their administrators to support their participation. Please feel free to put us in touch with them to help facilitate your attendance.
Can I bring my AP class?
This Spring showcase is for teachers only, however you will receive a special invitation to bring students with you to an event in the Fall!
What if I can’t attend this event but I want more information on the program and/or want my students to attend the Fall event?
