UC Merced’s first "Politics & Pastries" event kicked off on October 10th, 2024 with a lively discussion between students and Political Science faculty members Nate Monroe and Marco Alcocer. Students gathered to chat about various political topics over coffee and pastries, creating an open and engaging atmosphere. The monthly series, which will feature different faculty members at each session, will run through the academic year, providing students with a unique opportunity to connect with professors and explore politics and political science in a casual, conversational setting.
The next session will be 10:30-11:30am on November 7th in the CAPE Office (Social Sciences & Management Building, Room 130), and is open to all students.
